Club and Class of 2012 History
The club was
formed in 1993 at the time of the first Asian Football League. A group of friends at Newham's East Ham College
merged with a youth Team, who were no longer eligible to play under 16's football.
Brought together by the Current Club Chairman Zulfi Ali, London APSA
then known as Ahle Sunnah were crowned the first ever-Asian League Champions.
The team
continued for a number of years with some success, playing in various Asian run
competitions. It wasn't until April 1999 that the club became really serious
about making a mark in mainstream football. The trigger was a trip to Pakistan
via a group called APSA based in Manchester. This trip brought together the
Chairman and Vice Chairman Zulfi Ali and Anjum Khan. With plenty of spare time
the two spent much time discussing plans of how to move forward and how to
bring about the birth of an Asian Team which will compete in the mainstream and
be the standard bearer for the Asian Football Community.

2014/2015 saw a successful
season for the boys as now being together for 3 years they were ready
to take the challenge of stepping outside of the borough to play football away
from ‘Asian’ leagues and tournaments by joining the newly formed Hackney Marshes
Saturday Youth League. The boys missed out on the title by 1 point, a league
which they could have won had they not forfeited a fixture for a cup final. Despite
missing out on the league, the team went on to win 12 tournaments that season
all of which were outside of Tower Hamlets, winning various 5 and 7 a side tournaments
in Newham, Redbridge, Hackney, Waltham Forest and Havering, while the team were
dominating football in East London, Kamran Uddin the top scorer that year had a
trial for Crystal Palace. The highlight of that season was winning the LIC FC
Tournament at the Valley, home of Charlton Athletic FC, in front of a crowd of
500 spectators the boys went onto win the trophy.
