London APSA U12s were at it again as they won an epic Cup Final at Wanstead Flats. The Manor Park Masjid Cup saw London APSA face Manor United in a crunching Cup Final. As this Tournaments age group was 11-14, Many of our U12s were up against boys a few years older than us, However this did not affect the boys as their football as always does the talking and they dominated possession throughout the whole game. Coach Hafiz wanted the boys to just go out and enjoy themselves and just keep hold of the ball, however this did not work out as Manor United came here to win and were 6-2 up.

Second half was a learning curve for APSA as they knew never to underestimate their opposition ever, and came back into the game to make it 6-6 and later a penalty scored by Tanbir and later an icing on the cake goal by Akram to make it 8-6 to APSA.

Unlucky U12s Finish Runners Up in League

Second Place APSA Finish Leaague

The London APSA U12s were very unfortunate to lose their first Saturday league title together as a team by a single point. The were up against East London Soccer School as the race for the title went on, APSA forfeited a game as most boys had a school cup final that day, this obviously was they key reason in losing the league as if they played and won that fixture they would of won the league.

However a lot of positives had to be taken out of this campaign as it was the first time the boys played outside of an Asian League and showed to other teams from outside Tower Hamlets what they are capable of doing, and not to mention star striker Kamran who got scouted for the Crystal Palace Academy.

Last Pre Season Match 2014

22/09/2014

London APSA 2-1 Newham Warriors

The Last pre-season match and what a match it was, played at Wanstead Flats, the game kicked off with APSA dominating possesion in the first half, creating several chances but could not find the back of the net. At half time it was 0-0

. As the second half kicked off both teams done their at most best to get a goal but it was the APSA boys who got the breakthrough when Kamran Uddin's free kick from just outside the edge of the 18 yard box went straight through the keepers legs. It was a memorable goal for the youngster as he went to celebrate with his team mates. The frustrated Newham Warriors players kept their game and piled the pressure onto APSA, but great recovery runs from our wingers Faez and Arram kept them out. It was just 2 minutes left on the clock and the Warriors came back to make it 1-1 after the APSA defence failed to clear the ball. With just under 30 seconds remaining APSA get a corner which was taken by Kamran and in came Akram with a thumping header which went straight to the back of the net to make it 2-1 and there was the final whistle.

Although the boys played against boys who were a year older then them they showed how their hard work determination and hunger is second to none and that is what made them go home victorious.
